ארגון הישראלי לשימור נכסי תרבות הינו עמותה רשומה אשר נוסדה ב 2007. הארגון מייצג את קהילת המשמרים בישראל ופועל לקדם את מקצוע השימור בארץ.
שמענו בהלם ובצער גדול על הפגיעה האנושה שנגרמה למוזיאון יד מרדכי 'משואה לתקומה' ולמכון להוראת השואה בקיבוץ יד מרדכי כתוצאה מירי טילים של חמאס על אוכלוסייה אזרחית.
ארגון הישראלי לשימור נכסי תרבות הינו עמותה רשומה אשר נוסדה ב 2007. הארגון מייצג את קהילת המשמרים בישראל ופועל לקדם את מקצוע השימור בארץ. הארגון שואף לאגד את כלל המשמרים הפועלים בארץ ותומך בפעולות המקדמות עשייה בתחום השימור על ידי קביעה ויישום סטנדרטים מקצועיים, קידום מחקר וארגון כנסים והשתלמויות.
הארגון מקדם את ההתפתחות המקצועית של המשמרים, את שיתופי הפעולה ביניהם, ובינם לבין גופים הנוגעים בשימור, במגזר הציבורי והפרטי.
בשלושת השבועות האחרונים חווינו כולנו בישראל את ההרס העצום והנזקים שגרמה המתקפה הרצחנית של חמאס בדרום הארץ והמלחמה שנפתחה בעקבותיה. ארגון הטרור חמאס-דאעש רצח אנשים, טבח במשפחות ופגע באכזריות בקהילות שלמות.
קהילה אנושית אמורה להיות מקום שנרגיש בו בטוחים ואהובים, מקום שמגשים את האידאלים והערכים שלנו – מקום שמאפשר לנו להמשיך את הסיפור שלנו כאנשים פרטיים וכאומה.
זו בדיוק הסיבה מדוע, לצד מעשי הטבח הנוראיים, אנחנו בקהילת המשמרים נחרדים לראות גם את הנזק שחמאס גורם ביודעין לנכסי התרבות שלנו, למקומות ולחפצים שמספרים את סיפורן של אותן קהילות שהוחרבו. הנזק העצום שנגרם איננו מיידי בלבד – זהו נזק לנכסי התרבות שלנו ושל הדורות הבאים, ופגיעה אנושה במרקם החברתי שלנו. אנו מוקירים את נכסי התרבות שלנו ומגינים עליהם יום יום כיוון שהם מקפלים בתוכם את הזהות שלנו, את הערכים וההיסטוריה שלנו – ומשקפים את מי שאנחנו, כפרטים וכחברה. פגיעה בנכסי התרבות היא המשך ישיר של מעשי הרצח הנוראיים שביצע חמאס באנשינו, היא המשך הניסיון להשמיד את הקהילה אליה אנחנו שייכים.
שמענו בהלם ובצער גדול על הפגיעה האנושה שנגרמה למוזיאון יד מרדכי 'משואה לתקומה' ולמכון להוראת השואה בקיבוץ יד מרדכי כתוצאה מירי טילים של חמאס על אוכלוסייה אזרחית. מוזיאון השואה ביד מרדכי, המנציח את תולדות מרד גטו ורשה ואת התקומה היהודית, איננו רק מוסד להנצחת השואה – אלא נושא מסר ברור של 'לעולם לא עוד'. ביד מרדכי חינכו שהביטוי 'לעולם לא עוד' משמעותו באמת ובתמים, לעולם לא עוד – – והנה, 90 שנה מאוחר יותר, הדם היהודי הותר ואירועי השבת השחורה של ה-7.10 מעוררים את אותה טראומה ומהדהדים את זוועותיה.
לאורך שנות קיומו הארוכות ידע העם היהודי אסונות רבים, שלימדו אותנו שאין ברירה – צריך לקום מתוך האפר, לבנות מחדש ולהתחזק לקראת הבאות. למרות שמומחי השימור אינם יכולים כרגע להגיע ולטפל במוצגים שנפגעו, כיוון שאזור המוזיאון מוגדר כשטח צבאי סגור, אנחנו נערכים ליום שאחרי, לשיקום נכסי התרבות שנפגעו ולהמשך הנחלת המורשת שלנו לדורות הבאים.
אנחנו, המשמרים במדינת ישראל, קוראים לחברינו המשמרים ברחבי העולם – הצטרפו אלינו. אנחנו מבקשים מכם לקום ולומר בצורה חזקה וברורה: לעולם לא עוד. התקפה רצחנית נוספת על היהדות ועל ערכיה לא באה בחשבון. אלימות כזו כנגד המוסר האנושי היא בלתי נסבלת.

In the past three weeks we have all seen and discussed how the murderous attack conducted by Hamas has destroyed our communities, slaughtered our people, kidnapped our babies and left us all scrambling and trying to find some semblance of hope.
Communities are places where we feel loved, understood and at home. They are a fellowship of ideals and values. Communities allow us to continue writing our stories, both personally and as a nation.
As we know, culture is also at the frontline of war, both as collateral damage and as a target for belligerents who use its destruction to foster violence, hatred and vengeance. This destruction strikes at societies over the long term, weakening the foundations, crumbling our symbols and spirit, as well as the promise for long-lasting peace or the possibility of reconciliation when hostilities end.
Under these conditions the destruction of our heritage becomes another horrible and devastating outcome. Beyond the shock of the immediate loss, their absence in the long-term also damages the fabric of our society. We hold dear our symbolic and memory-charged objects because they serve as a reflection of who we are and what we stand for. Destroying our symbols is a way to erode us.
We were shocked to learn that the Holocaust museum in Kibbutz Yad Mordechai was impacted. The Holocaust to Revival Museum – Institute for Holocaust Education in Kibbutz Yad Mordechai is located on a hill and shares stories from the past as well as inspiring acts of heroism during the darkest, most unimaginable times.
The “From Holocaust to Revival” museum opened its doors in 1968 with the vision to educate its visitors on what the Holocaust is and how to make sure another atrocity of that scope never happens again. They have anchored the displays with an emotional approach aimed at protecting our ethical world. To put it another way, the reason to have a Holocaust museum is not only to uphold the memory but to serve as a guarantee that “never again”, means never again. Now, in 2023, after the horrible events that took place on the 7th of October, here we are, 90 years after the Holocaust, feeling how this promise has been shattered.
Never again is right now! We have a duty to loudly condemn acts of terrorism that threaten our values and that operate using hatred and bigotry.
We must rebuild and be resilient in the time to come. Even if now conservation professionals can’t reach the museum and treat the objects at the moment, we must outcry loud and strong Never Again!. Another ruthless attack on Judaism and our values are not an option! Another violation of human decency and rights is not an option!
We need to stand united and make sure we will come out together stronger and confident.
